The Dyna-Mic
Before Dyna-Mic, if a harmonica player wanted to achieve a great tone from their traditional microphone, he or she would need to cup their hands around the harmonica and microphone simultaneously in an airtight fashion. This is known as the 'art of cupping' in harmonica playing circles and can take years to fully master.
Our patented Gasket system removes the need to use your hands in this way and means that anyone, of any age, or playing level, can pick up a Dyna-Mic and unleash their sound!
There is a one size fits all model called a Universal-Gasket which holds 80% of commercially available Harmonicas. Alternatively, our Pro-Gasket range, caters for players who want a super air tight hold, with more feedback protection and a deeper tone.
What is the benefit from using a Dyna-Mic vs the traditional way of micing a harmonica?
-
You will produce amazing tone easily, without the need for advanced cupping techniques.
-
You do not need expensive boutique amplifiers, hard to find mic elements or any extra pedals to sound great.
-
You can plug directly into a DI or an amp from the Dyna-Mic and have amazing tone without the need for converters, or any extra gear.
-
With the Nighthawk model, you can produce a hand-wah effect louder and clearer that on any other harmonica microphone.
-
There are mute, volume and drive controls all built into the Dyna-mic. Removing the need to go back to your amp or pedal board when wanting (or quickly needing) to change your sound.
-
You will look super cool!
A Pedal Board in your Hands
By having our Pre-Amp and tone circuit built into the mic itself, we've opened up the exiting new world of having tone, boost, overdrive, mute and volume controls all right at your fingertips and that's just the beginning..
Gone are the days of having to always be close to your stage amp or pedal board. Dyna-Mic gives you the freedom to change your sound instantly with the flick of a switch, from anywhere your music might take you.
Want to add overdrive for that solo from the car park of your local blues jam, or stadium? We’ve got you covered.
Recording Studio Friendly
In the recording studio, sound 'bleeding' from one instrument to another can be a challenge. Dyna-Mic's design alleviates this problem by muting the sound of your harmonica, so it won't be picked up by other mics in the same room.
Combine this with the fact it can be plugged directly into a recording console and you have the ultimate studio mic for harmonica, able to deliver great tone every time!
In addition, music producers often use a 'smash mic' in combination with a clean mic to produce unique sounds for bass, drums and guitars. Enter Dyna-Mic, a microphone with a truly unique sound, that cannot be replicated by a plug in, with on-board overdrive and tone options that will deliver all the ingredients needed to experiment, innovate and unleash a sound, all of your own.
